My love affair with vellum...

I do love a good use of the vellum. Today's use will be a bit of insight in how I like to work!

A Bridal Shower:

In the example here an image of the event location was reworked to mimic old brick. Our hostess was "in the know" about the bride's colors - chocolate brown & a mossy green. It was important the shower invitation reflect the bride's taste.

We chose a textured, brown paper for the backing and I used a dark, chocolate brown for the text. The restaurant uses cobalt blue glass as its "signature color" hence, the use of cobalt on the invitation.

The text and image were printed on vellum and attached with spray adhesive to the paper backing.

It's wedding season!

April is the new October which is the new June.

I have so many great new ideas for wedding favors and I can't wait to use them!

The example to the left is from a friend's wedding in early 2008.

Smack-Talk Snack Mix was the perfect send-off for these newlyweds and their "house divided".

Sports-themed "thank-yous" in UGA and Auburn colors flanked custom signage for the table.

All of the papers and products used were purchased based on the bride's budget. The final parting gifts were handmade and designed with the couple's humorous rivalry in mind.

WAR EAGLE!

JUSTIFY

What's all the fuss about?
I think it's safe to say anyone can figure out the logic behind invitations and thank you notes.
Doesn't an event begin and end here? Of course it does...if you're lying to yourself!

Let's not sugar coat our "need" for more, shall we, dear reader?

My primary goal is to feed your need!
I want you to have stellar items at your event. I want you to be the envy of your colleagues. I want to make your grandmama proud. I welcome the challenge of topping your neighbor's party favors.

No judgement here, folks! Let's have some fun!
